Whilst all SNARK clip-on tuners are highly sensitive to stringed instruments, the SNARK X has been specifically designed not only for guitars and bass guitars, but also for a multitude of stringed instruments including violins, violas and double basses.
Orchestral musicians especially, love the fully chromatic pitch calibration between 415-466Hz, all the way down to the lower regions of baritone or multi-strung bass guitars and the upright double bass, where low notes and overtones can often confuse less responsive tuners.
